In-Network Claims

When seeking medical care within the UnitedHealthcare Global PPO Network, the medical provider will submit your claims electronically for processing, and you will not need to file a claim as long as you present your ID card at the time of your medical visit.

Out-of-Network Claims

Providers outside of the UnitedHealthcare Global PPO network may not be able to submit your bills directly for payment. For claims that cannot be filed directly, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Download a claim form
  • Complete the claim form with all the details of the injury/illness that you have suffered. For each new injury or illness, you must fill out a new form.
  • Attach copies of your bills, receipts, lab charges, and prescriptions.
  • Submit your claim form via your WellAway student portal or via email (corpclaims@payerfusion.com).

Important things to note

  • If you need a reimbursement for medications, WellAway will process it based on the policy coverage and pharmacy formulary.
  • Over-the-counter medications are not reimbursable.
  • Prescriptions being filled exceeding a 30-day supply require pre-authorization.
  • Any medical, dental, or vision services are subject to the limitations outlined in your policy terms and conditions. The same limitations and exclusions apply regardless of where the services are rendered. This is also applicable to exclusion riders.
